All Xbox One Game Releases for June 2018

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Sadly, May is coming to an end, and while we enjoyed slashing and shooting our way through the hordes of undead in State of Decay 2, it’s time to look forward to what Xbox One game releases we’ll be seeing in June 2018. Fortunately, there are actually quite a few games to pique your interest here, depending on what you’re into.

A cursory glance down the list will likely see one of the most iconic mascots of gaming’s name pop out. Crash Bandicoot is bringing his trilogy of adventures to the Xbox One with all the same polish that we saw in the PS4 release last year. Time trial modes, an improved save system, and 4K resolution for Xbox One X owners (1080p for everyone else) are just a few of the exciting improvements that have been made to bring these adventures to the present day.

If you’re looking for something to play on your Xbox One a little sooner than that, then Vampyr may be worth checking out. Set in London, 1918, players assume the role of newly-turned vampire Dr. Jonathan Reid. The game sees you playing both the role of Dr. Reid, doing your best to find a cure to save the flu-ravaged citizens of the England capital city, while also indulging your blood-frenzied vampire side every once in a while. It’s an action-RPG with all the makings of quite the cult-classic. It may not be in the same vein as DONTNOD’s Life Is Strange, but it looks great all the same.

If neither of those two headline Xbox One games for June 2018 really speak to you, fear not, there are still other titles that may be worth putting your hard-earned cash down for. Jurassic World Evolution lets you create your very own Jurassic World, complete with a narrative to follow and the freedom to choose exactly what your park is used for – science, entertainment, or research. MMO fans might want to return to Elder Scrolls Online with the release of its Summerset expansion, adding in the home of the High Elves that goes by the same name. You’ll find a new Psijic Order to join, new abilities to help you achieve your goals, and of course, uncover the mysteries of the land of Summerset.

Our final Xbox One game highlight of June 2018 goes to Ubisoft’s The Crew 2. Though the first game left a little to be desired in terms of meaningful content that filled its enormous map of the USA, it had some cool ideas. That’s what The Crew 2 is aiming to deliver this time around, with boats and planes being added into the mix to freshen up the same ol’ racing on asphalt. If you’re wanting to check it out ahead of its official release on June 29, sign up for the beta here before May 29 and you might get to check it out briefly this weekend.
