Fatalities

Top 10 Most Brutal & Best Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 11

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

10. Shao Kahn

Recommended Videos

When talking about fatalities it’s all about the blood, gore, and over-the-top nonsense. Mortal Kombat 11 delivers on all of these fronts.

Shao Kahn’s fatality is one of the more gruesome to grace the series thus far — and that’s saying something! Using his giant hammer to knock his opponents head through their entire body and out the other side is disturbing but oddly satisfying.

When the camera shows the victim’s head flying towards the screen, it really cements what an absolute nutjob Shao Kahn is. And yet I find myself still watching it on loop, over and over, grimly addicted to the carnage…

9. Frost

Frost’s first fatality in the video above is one for the record books. An ice drill to the head and the gut is one thing, but exploding the body afterward and freezing the entrails put this fatality on a whole other level.

Just when you think NetherRealm Studios might run out of ideas on how to kill people, they show up and bring the goods.

8. Noob Saibot

At the end of this video, you’re going to see something that you can’t unsee. Noob Saibot cuts his opponent open, crawls inside of them and rips them in half from the inside.

The hands coming out of the mouth really help make sure the image is burned into your brain forever. In fact, maybe I’ll watch that video one more time.

7. Baraka

Have you ever wondered what brains taste like? Well, don’t worry because Baraka has and he seems into it. After peeling off two layers of the skull, Baraka finally gets what he always wanted, your brain.

6. Jacqui Briggs

Jacqui Briggs has clearly learned the art of killing from her father Jax. Decapitation and a shot to the gut, not enough? What if we threw a grenade into the hole where your head used to be and sliced you in half with a force field? That’s what Jacqui Briggs brings to the table.

5. Sub-Zero

Don’t you hate it when you get launched in the air and impaled on your opponent’s ice clone? Then you have your head impaled on the same spear and your spine waves like a flag in the wind. That’s just Sub-Zero for you.

4. Kano

Kano is one of the most brutal Mortal Kombat characters around. Do you really want the last thing you see in this world to be Kano above you bashing your head in with that smug grin? It’s horrifying, and we never want to be in that situation.

3. Kabal

Around the 1:50 mark you will see Kabal drag a body at high speed while their face disintegrates into the ground. That in itself is enough to have us queasy, but then Kabal takes it a step further by launching his enemy forward, speeding up, and splitting him in two.

I know Kabal was brutal, but damn my eyes can’t take much more of this.

2. Skarlet

The Fatality seen around the 1:05 mark is short and sweet, but had us cringing in our seats. Skarlet connects to her victim’s heart as we watched their beating heart fill up and explode right out of their chest.

This is brutal, fierce, scary, and honestly ruthless. This one is sure to have your blood pumping.

1. Johnny Cage

There is a reason this fatality is number one on the list. Johnny Cage is a pretty carefree quirky guy who adds a lot of comic relief to the Mortal Kombat franchise. So when I saw him punch through his victims back, pull their top half off, and then puppeteer their lifeless corpse under a spotlight, I was taken back.

This is the most brutal of all the fatalities in the game, with victims destined to spend the rest of their lives as Johnny Cage’s personal puppet. In fact, the above video showcases the fatality on every character in the game, so sit back and enjoy!
