5 Other Crossovers We’d Like to See in Fortnite

Star Wars Battlefront II, xbox one, november

A Fortnite and Star Wars crossover event could bring a lot of different things to the table with its large list of species, locations, and vehicles, but with the recent Infinity War crossover game mode Epic has already laid the groundwork. Imagine a 1 vs 99 scenario in which one player is Kylo Ren and the rest are trying to take him down.

Kylo Ren could have abilities such as Force Choke, Force Lightning, and his lightsaber toss to use against the opposing players. Similar to the Thanos fight, whoever kills Ren would then be able to run and collect his lightsaber to become the next Kylo Ren and this would continue until there is only one player left.

This would also open the floodgates for some awesome Star Wars themed skins. Imagine running through the battle royale map with a lightsaber as your pickaxe, or seeing someone in a C3PO skin in the distance. The possibilities are nearly endless for a Star Wars crossover and that has us very excited.

National Sports Leagues

5 Other Crossovers We’d Like to See in Fortnite

Fortnite is currently celebrating the World Cup with purchasable country jerseys, soccer ball emotes, and a Vuvuzela pickaxe. In fact they even put a brand new soccer stadium on the map for players to explore and score soccer goals for fun. We have also seen them do this in the past with the NBA offering basketball jerseys, emotes, and pickaxes for the NBA finals, so why not do this with the other National Sports Leagues?

Having a giant ice rink in the middle of the map would be chaotic as players are slipping and sliding across the ice to try and secure that Victory Royale, or just a mound of chests in the center. This event would also be accompanied by purchasable hockey jerseys for each respective team, hockey stick pickaxes, and even some fun hockey themed emotes.

Another on  National sports organization we would wanna see a collaboration with is the National Football League. Epic could introduce a game mode similar to capture the flag, but players are vying for a football instead of a flag. Imagine a 50 v 50 match in which teams must protect their player holding the football as they have to travel to a specific point on the map that would change every game.

Upcoming Slasher Films

5 Other Crossovers We’d Like to See in Fortnite

The new Predator movie releases on Sept. 14 and it would be awesome if Epic incorporated this into Fortnite. Imagine playing a match, but instead of having to worry about other people, there was a third party involved. The matches would play exactly the same except for one big twist, The Predator would also be on the map as an NPC trying to hunt everyone down. Everyone’s goal is to be the last man standing without being taken down by another player or the predator in the process. Players would have to be looking over their shoulder at all times because the predator might be right behind them. The predator would start in random locations every time and will wander around the map looking for victims. This would add a unique layer to the Battle Royale genre experience.

Once September ends it’s time to move on to the spookiest month of the year, October. With a new Halloween movie coming out we think Fortnite could have some fun with this. Not only could they bring back both the Ghoul Trooper and Skull Trooper skins, but they could also add the infamous Michael Myers as a skin to the game.

This would also come with a game mode of hide and seek, which could really shake things up by taking away weapons found on the ground or in chests. Players would have to work together to lay traps for the one player who is the Mike Myers-like character. Eventually a supply drop would fall somewhere on the map and players will have to make their way there in order to secure the weapons needed to defeat them.

Halloween is a great time to get creative with a collaboration, so why stop with just the Halloween movie? There are plenty of great franchises to work with around this time of year like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, or even Scream.

Nintendo

5 Other Crossovers We’d Like to See in Fortnite

Fortnite finally launched on the Nintendo Switch back in June, and it is just begging for some fun Nintendo themed content. When Rocket League launched on the Switch last year, it released with exclusive Mario and Samus battle-cars as well as some Nintendo themed cosmetic items. Nintendo and Fortnite could partner up for some truly unique Fortnite exclusives that we would love to see.

Imagine playing Fortnite dressed as some of the most iconic Nintendo characters like Fox McCloud, Samus Aran, or even Ness. As of right now the only console that has any sort of exclusive skin is the PlayStation 4 for PS Plus users, but Nintendo could change that if they want to make Nintendo Switch a more exciting place to play Fortnite.

Fortnite’s cartoonish aesthetic and crazy world events like the rocket launch, meteor crash, and recent portals in the sky all lend to a weird and exciting crossover with Nintendo and it’s many properties.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

5 Other Crossovers We’d Like to See in Fortnite

The Assassin’s Creed franchise is no newcomer to collaborations. Just last year they partnered with Final Fantasy XV, adding in-game items to Assassin’s Creed Origins and vice versa. So why not do the same with the most popular game currently?

With Season 5 of Fortnite quickly approaching, Epic has been teasing on the Fortnite Twitter account the idea of new time periods being added to the map. Vikings, Samurais, and even Ancient Greece have been hinted at, which would work perfectly for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Dawning the assassin’s signature hooded cloak would make a great skin for Fortnite. Epic could even add the iconic Hidden Blade as an in-game item that would allow for players to try and get the jump on an approaching enemy. Assassin’s Creed is one of the largest games to come out each year, and while it does not target the same market as Fortnite, these two juggernauts teaming up could create something truly special.
