THE BIG GAME
PS PLUS FREE GAMES FOR FEBRUARY 2018
Every month, subscribers to Sony’s PlayStation Plus service also are gifted a few free games along with access to online services. Usually there is one bigger game headlining the list, and this month we think we’ll see the 2016 remaster of Ratchet & Clank.
It’s always nice when a PlayStation exclusive is offered for free, and with Ratchet & Clank being such a favorite for PS fans it would be a huge fan service to offer it for free.
Just last month, Asia PS Plus subscribers got Ratchet & Clank, but the offer never came to the west. Since it’s already been offered in one way on PS Plus, then it makes sense it will come to North America, if not next month then sometime very soon. Especially since the west got PSVR title Until Dawn: Rush of Blood in November 2017 and Asia got it a month later alongside Ratchet & Clank.
Check out page two where we look at some possible indie inclusions for February 2018.
INDIES
PS PLUS FREE GAMES FOR FEBRUARY 2018
Also on the list are usually a couple of indie games, and our first choice is King Oddball from 10tons Ltd. In King Oddball you play as the King himself and use your tongue to swing back and forth over obstacles to make your way across the screen.
It features over 120 levels and only one button to use for gameplay, the one to release your kingly tongue and latch yourself wherever gravity may take you. King Oddball is also a PS4/PS Vita cross-play purchase, which we know Sony always loves to include on their PS Plus lineup.
Another likely indie is Firewatch from Campo Santo. Featuring fantastic writing and beautiful forest environments to walk through, you play as Henry who has left his complicated life to find peace in the wilderness of Wyoming; however, things start getting shady when some campers go missing.
Finally on page three we’ll look into what PSVR game is likely to arrive to players on PS Plus next month.
PSVR
PS PLUS FREE GAMES FOR FEBRUARY 2018
Every since Sony launched their own VR system PSVR in October 2016, occasionally a PSVR game will make its way to players through PS Plus.
For February we think Volume from Bithell Games will be included on PS Plus. In Volume, you play as thief Robert Locksley, you’ll use his array of gadgets to pull off heists while stealthily avoiding detection.
Make sure to check back with Twinifnite in a week or so when the official PS Plus lineup is announced by Sony.
