Xbox Games With Gold Predictions December 2018

december 2018, games with gold, predictions

Every month, Microsoft offers a few free games to players who subscribe to their Games with Gold platform that comes with online functionality.

Usually, at least two larger titles make the list, and for December 2018 we predict Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection seems like a likely contender. It’s published by Microsoft Studios, meaning there is less financial risk for it to be included.

Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection is also one of the highest rated games on the Microsoft Store, is currently on sale with Xbox Live Gold, and has been offered for free on PS Plus in South Korea in July 2018. If a game has made it onto PS Plus in other countries, it usually ends up coming to North America eventually as well.

Another possible candidate is Tom Clancy’s The Division from Ubisoft. You might have noticed we’ve featured a few Ubisoft games in our Games with Gold predictions, but that’s because they just keep popping up! Here are some examples recently:

  • Assassin’s Creed II in July 2013.
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in April 2015.
  • Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon in November 2016.
  • Assassin’s Creed: Revelations in April 2017.
  • Assassin’s Creed III in June 2017.
  • Watch Dogs in June 2017.
  • For Honor in August 2018.
  • Assassin’s Creed in November 2018.

The Division has also been offered for free on Xbox One before, when Xbox Live Gold subscribers could play from Sept. 13-16 2018. The game itself was also offered for a whopping 70% off in from Sept. 11-20.

However, an even bigger price drop is on the way when The Division will be offered for a mere $10 for Black Friday starting Nov. 19 or right now if you subscribe to Xbox Live Gold.

With how low The Division has been priced as of late, it seems like a good fit for Games with Gold.

The Indie Offering

Xbox Games With Gold Predictions December 2018

Usually, one smaller, indie game is offered on Games with Gold as well, and for next month we predict Pit People from developer The Behemoth.

Pit People was a very well-received title when it released as an early access version for PC and Xbox One in January 2017 with a full release dropping in March 2018. It’s a strategy game with tons of character where you try and get across an apocalyptic wonderland with a single and two-player story-mode with four player PvP online play as well.

It has also been bundled with Castle Crashers as of March 2018, another popular indie we wouldn’t be surprised to see on Games with Gold in the future too. Pit People has often gone on sale, sometimes being offered as low as $12 USD.

Make sure to check back in the next week or two to see which games make the official Games with Gold list for December 2018.
