With over 500 PS4 and PS5 deals amongst this discounted catalog, it can be a little overwhelming to figure out which ones you should spend your hard-earned money on. Not to worry, though, as we’ve come up with a list of the four best games to pick up during the PSN spring 2021 sale for you right below.

It is also worth noting that every since game listed below received Twinfinite’s Game of the Year award for their respective years. As such, you know they are definitely going to be worth picking up if you haven’t already.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

If you’ve ever wanted to experience what it feels like to be an explorer like Indiana Jones, Uncharted 4 is probably the closest thing you could ever hope for without having to actually risk your own life.

This 2016 action-adventure game once again places players in the shoes of Nathan Drake, a now-retired treasure hunter yearning for even a sliver of the excitement from his former adventurous life-style.

When his presumed-dead brother, Samuel, shows up on his doorstep one day, it doesn’t take much to coax the adventurer out of retirement to solve one last mystery. What follows is an exciting experience, as Nate platforms, shoots, and puzzles toward clues about the treasure of Henry Avery.

Gameplay-wise, the series is at its best with Uncharted 4. Additions like the grappling hook, vehicle segments, improved visuals, and smoother controls add to the cinematic experience the franchise is known for.

Even if you’ve never played an entry in the series before, you’d be insane not to play this game. The gameplay, story, and cinematics on display in Uncharted 4 make picking this one up a no-brainer, especially since it was our game of the year back in 2016.

The Last of Us Part II

Original Price: $59.99 – Sale Price: $29.99

It is hard to put into words what an amazing experience The Last of Us Part II truly is. It’s a gritty, encapsulating story that follows Ellie as she comes to terms with the apocalyptic world she and her friends find themselves in.

While the clickers and other infected are still a threat, this sequel continues to delve into the darker sides of humanity as well. It tells a tragic, morally gray tale fueled by anger, revenge, and varying perspectives. Its gameplay is also groundbreaking, as it delivers an immersive experience like very few games ever have before it.

Whether you’re stealthing through grass and sneaking under cars, engaging in firefights with Seraphites, or simply exploring the vast setting the game has to offer, you’ll no doubt find yourself gawking at the world the game immerses you in.

If that explanation wasn’t enough to sell you on it, you can take our word for it as well, as The Last of Us Part II was Twinfinite’s Game of the Year for 2020.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Original Price: $59.99 – Sale Price: $29.99

Red Dead Redemption 2 is yet another one of those games that offers an experience unlike any other.

This prequel places players in the shoes of Arthur Morgan, a high-ranking member of the Van der Linde gang struggling with the fact that he is a part of a dying breed of society.

In an attempt to stave off the so-called death of the Wild West, players will roam about the land with Arthur, completing missions and helping characters for the betterment of the Van der Linde group.

This takes you to many interesting places, as you’ll compete in duels, dive into massive firefights, and even rob trains while controlling the smart-mouthed cowboy.

And yet, while its gameplay is top-notch, the story is where the game truly shines. It still stands as one of the greatest video game plots of all time thanks to strong character development and nuanced personalities, which is why it earned our Game of the Year award back in 2018.

Resident Evil 2 Remake

Resident Evil Moments That Give Us Thrills and Chills

Original Price: $39.99 – Sale Price: $15.99

While remakes and remasters are nothing new in the current age of gaming, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better one than Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 Remake.

This 2019 survival horror game follows two different characters, Leon and Claire, who find themselves stuck in a city amidst a deadly zombie outbreak.

In order to survive their different scenarios, each character must gather items, solve puzzles, and defeat the zombies standing in their way to find a cure. These enemies range from basic, slow-walking biters and fast spider-like creatures to an unkillable mutant known as Mr. X, who follows them around wherever they go trying to kill them.

This terrifying environment results in some fast-paced, thrilling gameplay, as you’ll need to manage resources and plan your routes accordingly if you hope to survive.

It is worth noting that Twinfinite enjoyed the game so much, we gave it our 2019 Game of the Year award. That endorsement in and of itself should be enough to sell you on the game, especially with its low spring sale price tag.
