Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
Modern Warfare is considered a classic at this point, and if you didn’t get to play it when the game first launched, this is a pretty good deal to pick up during the latest PSN sale. The game is currently priced at $27.99, and if you’re a PS Plus subscriber, you could get it discounted even further.
The single-player story campaign is iconic and memorable, and even the multiplayer scene is still fairly active even today.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombie Chronicles Edition
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
If you’re in the mood for more Call of Duty action, Black Ops III – Zombie Chronicles Edition is also up for grabs during the sale. This is one of the more recent CoD releases, and it also boasts one of the better Zombies modes we’ve seen from the series in recent years.
In addition to that, the multiplayer portion of the game also brings back classic fan-favorite maps from the following games: World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops II.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was originally released back in 2016, and it continues the story from where Human Revolution left off. Players take control of protagonist Adam Jensen once again as he continues to rebel against the segregated society for the rights of augmented individuals.
The first-person stealth gameplay is pretty solid, and there are RPG elements where you get to level Jensen up and choose perks and skills from an extensive upgrade tree. The story can be a little hit or miss at times, but at $11, this is a very good deal.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
This is one entry that’s probably often overlooked, even among fans of the Final Fantasy series. But now that it’s on sale, there’s no excuse not to at least check out this underrated gem of a game. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD deviates from the regular FF formula, and gives you complete control over a whole class of 14 students with very unique and distinct play styles.
The game foregoes a turn-based combat system for a more action-oriented one, and you’ll control one character at a time, though you do get to bring two other companions along with you. The story itself is engaging, even if it does start to go off the rails in its final act. Type-0 HD also boasts a pretty kickass soundtrack, and that’s really all the reasons you need to try this one.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
Kingdom Hearts III is supposedly releasing sometime this year, so this is the perfect time to jump into Final Chapter Prologue to get the story setup for the events that are coming up next. This entry features a brand new chapter starring Aqua as she explores the Ream of Darkness to find a way back to her friends. This is the first time we’re seeing brand new Kingdom Hearts content with a new engine and a refined action combat system. It looks fantastic, and it’s definitely hyping us up beyond belief for Kingdom Hearts III.
There’s also a short movie included in the package to help flesh out the Kingdom Hearts world and lore a little more, so this game is a must-play for fans of the series or those wanting to check out the new entry when it’s out.
NieR: Automata
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
NieR: Automata was released just a year ago, and it’s in the running for one of the best RPGs we’ve played this generation. It’s a direct follow-up to NieR, though you don’t have to play the original game to enjoy this one.
It’s difficult to sell this game too much without giving away its best bits, but if you want a story experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen in the video game medium, you shouldn’t miss out on Automata. If you like Platinum Games combat, or if you’re simply a fan of phenomenal video game music, those are pretty good reasons to pick this one up as well.
Sleeping Dogs
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
Sleeping Dogs was a bit of a sleeper hit when it was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but it took the open world style of the GTA games and the Arkham melee combat system to produce a memorable narrative and gameplay experience.
The game follows the story of Wei Shen, an undercover cop who’s tasked with busting the triad gangs in Hong Kong. The depiction of Hong Kong itself and the Chinese/Cantonese population is pretty spot-on as well.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
It took a whole year after its original release, but Rise of the Tomb Raider finally made its way to the PS4 with the 20 Year Celebration edition. This version of the game comes packed with all of the previously released DLC, as well as a brand new VR mode.
Lara Croft continues her evolution as the badass tomb raider we all know her as, but this time she’s on a quest to find out what her father was working on before his death. The base game itself plays fantastically on the PS4, and if you enjoyed the Tomb Raider reboot, this won’t disappoint.
Just Cause 3
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
Just Cause 3 drops you into a gorgeous Mediterranean island where you basically have complete freedom in whatever you want to do and wherever you want to go. Players are given a wingsuit and a grappling hook to play around with the verticality of the island and complete exciting story missions.
It’s important to note that you’re not really playing Just Cause 3 for a riveting story or narrative. Think of it as a vacation of sorts, where you get to blow things up, shoot bad guys with guns, and go skydiving whenever you feel like it.
PSOne Classics
Best PSN March 2018 Deals
If none of the current-gen offerings really appeal to you, you could always go back to the classics. They’re oldies but goldies, the evergreen titles that you’ll never get sick of. Square Enix has several fantastic PSOne classic games on sale right now, but we’ve picked our favorite ones from the bunch:
- Chrono Trigger
- Final Fantasy VI
- Final Fantasy VII (PS4 remaster)
- Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions (PSP/Vita)
- Parasite Eve
