September 2017 PS4 Video Game Releases
(Week One: Sept. 4-8)
With the fall and holiday seasons looming before us, the PS4 has a strong lineup of releases slated for the month of September and it all kicks off with a small, but powerful first week.
PS4 users have two massive sequels to look forward to. One is the exclusive Knack 2 which takes all of the growing and shrinking puzzle solving of the first game, along with the tight, challenging combat, and adds a few upgrades and improved cooperative play. The next is Bungie’s follow-up to their shared world shooter, Destiny 2. Â There’re more aliens to shoot, more space magic to discover, and plenty of sweet loot to collect as guardians fight to reclaim their home and their light.
Of course, those aren’t the only two games releasing this week. You can check out week one’s schedule below:
- Sept. 5 – Knack 2
- Sept. 5 – Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth
- Sept. 6 – Destiny 2
- Sept. 7 –Â Morphite

September 2017 PS4 Video Game Releases

The third week still has some sports titles for PS4 players in the form of NBA 2K18 and Project CARS 2 (which pushes the PS4 to its limits). There’s also a brand-new fighter in the beloved Marvel vs. Capcom series. Infinite sees the Avengers and other Marvel heroes team up with Capcom’s best to take on the power of Ultron and Sigma combined. If you love LEGO games, the new Ninjago film is also getting a tie-in this week.
There are also a couple of indie games to check out if that’s your cup of tea. You can check out the third week’s release schedule below.

September 2017 PS4 Video Game Releases
(Week Four: Sept. 25-29)
The final week of the month has a lot more indie action for the PS4, but that doesn’t mean you should write it off. Ruiner is a futuristic shooter that tests a player’s mettle against hordes of enemies as you deal with a twisted government. Meanwhile, Megaton Rainfall lets players become what is essentially Superman as they protect the entire planet from an attack.
Don’t worry, though, there are some bigger games too if that’s what you’re looking for. Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition hits the PS4 during the final days of the month, allowing players to get in on all of the mutant and synth-slaying action at a lower price. Then there’s Gundam Versus, a mech-powered fighting game that sees some of the best mobile suits from the franchise enter the fray against one another.
