Xbox Games With Gold
Free Games in April 2018
Gold subscribers will be pretty pleased with Microsoft’s offerings coming up in April 2018, as they’ll get access to quality AAA titles, along with an indie game that received critical acclaim when it first released.
The big ones to look out for are Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate and Dead Space 2. Syndicate takes place in Victorian London and follows the story of the Assassin twins, Jacob and Evie Frye. While the game still adopts the tired combat system of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, the story itself is engaging (the London one, not the modern day one), and the twins make for really fun personalities to latch on to.
Dead Space 2 is arguably the best entry in Visceral’s survival horror series, and it continues the story of Isaac Clarke as he returns from the terrifying journey on the USG Ishimura. The combat system and shooting mechanics have been polished, the UI and HUD look fantastic as always, and this is a must-play for any horror game fans.
Gold subscribers will also get access to The Witness, the gorgeous puzzle game developed by Jonathan Blow. The game’s visuals and aesthetics are ridiculously pretty, and puzzle fans should find a lot to love in the game’s intricacies.

PS Plus
Free Games in April 2018
Sony really stepped up their game last month by releasing Bloodborne as a free game for PS Plus subscribers. And if we’re being honest, it’s kinda hard to top that. Still, Plus subscribers will be happy to see Mad Max on the shelf for April.
Developed by Avalanche Studios, it was released three years ago at the same time as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, causing it to be overshadowed by the epic conclusion to the Metal Gear saga. Still, as an open world action game, this is definitely worth a look. The sandy wastelands are gorgeous, and the vehicular combat is as exciting as you’d expect from a franchise that’s all about insane car action.
TrackMania Turbo is also on offer this month, in which players get to race along 200 pre-built tracks, trying to set new records before creating their own custom tracks once they’ve got a hang of the basics. PS Vita and PS3 users haven’t been forgotten, and they’ll be able to snag Q*Bert Rebooted, a remastered version of the classic arcade game.
