DMZ has relatively catered to squad players with each passing update, making the experience almost unbearable for solo players. However, a new development could alleviate the stress for independent players, as the mid-season introduces helpful mechanics for Assimilation, Plea for Help, and the latest contract.
The Assimilation mechanic has been a massive problem for many DMZ fans, given that it allows Operators to establish a six-player team over time instead of the initial three-solider group. Thus, players have been overwhelmed by the large amounts of enemy squads, especially those who track down independent players.
Fortunately, it seems as though the Assimilation will be tweaked for Season 4 Reloaded, with many fans hoping for a debuff, disadvantage, or team number max cap for this particular ensemble.
Another helpful tool is the new Hunt Contract, targeting malicious Squads that typically seek out solo players and smaller teams. That way, you’ll get revenge on other Operators, where the hunters will now become the prey. Some fans in the comments also desire a squad radius waypoint on the map with this contract so that players can avoid going to this location altogether.
Lastly, the Plea for Help interaction will be improved with more alternative options, as you can sometimes accidentally rob a fallen soldier, despite pressing the right button. But, of course, it isn’t entirely clear what this change will bring to DMZ, and it may provide an all-new system to enhance the experience further.
The only thing missing from the Call of Duty blog post is a fix for those annoying AI enemies in Vondel. Yet, a resolution could still be in the works as the mid-season approaches.
For now, we’ll have to wait for the patch notes to understand this DMZ intel teaser, and hopefully, the full release will improve the gameplay for any type of player.
