Far Cry 4 How to: Best Stealth Weapons Guide

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Khukri

It’s the first weapon you obtain right when you begin the game. The Khukri is your best friend in sneaky situations such as during an approach to liberate an enemy outpost. It’s best used in tandem with the various Takedown skills you can unlock via the Tiger skill tree. Nothing screams stealth in Far Cry 4 like being able to chain takedown your enemies one after another with the click of a button.

It’s also worth noting that using the Khukri to hunt animals will net you clean kills.

Recurve Bow

Whether you’re out hunting animals, or trying to snipe your enemies, the Recurve Bow is an invaluable weapon for any stealth lover out there. Far easier to use than the old-school hunting bow, the Recurve Bow comes with a couple of great attachments as well. Throw a marksman sight or a reflex sight onto the bow for greater accuracy and precision, and you’ll be golden.

The Recurve Bow is silent and will always down un-armored enemies with a single arrow. Even better, you can retrieve the arrows from their fallen bodies too. While it’s not the most effective weapon to use against a predator that’s chasing you, the Recurve Bow will help you get clean animal kills in Far Cry 4 and rack up your Karma points.

Auto-Cross

A new introduction in Far Cry 4, the Auto-Cross just might be my favorite weapon yet. It loads quickly, it’s just as deadly and silent as the Recurve Bow, and it’s also much faster and easier to use. Just like the Recurve Bow, you can slap either an optical sight, red dot sight, or reflex sight onto the Auto-Cross for better accuracy. A quick bolt to the chest or head will net you a one-hit kill as well. With how rapidly you can fire off bolts with the Auto-Cross, it’s definitely a much better choice for dealing with human foes than the Recurve Bow. Attach the extended mag to the weapon and you’ll have a blast firing bolts at your enemies from the shadows.

It has a high mobility rate and is great for enemy encounters even when you’ve been spotted by Pagan’s soldiers.

Warrior

A signature weapon that can be unlocked around mid-game, the Warrior is a great silent assault rifle to add to the arsenal of any stealth player. The Warrior is an AK47 modded with a scope and suppressor and is perfect for sneaking up on enemies that are already engaged in a firefight. Say one of your outposts is being invaded by enemy soldiers, you can run up to your foes from behind and shoot them down. Since the Warrior’s already been equipped with a suppressor, you can take the soldiers down while their allies remain blissfully ignorant to your actions.

Z93

Another weapon that can be unlocked mid-game, the Z93 is a .50 calibre sniper rifle that is guaranteed to give you a much easier time when attempting to liberate outposts and taking down enemies from afar. Fitted with a high-powered scope and suppressor, the Z93 has amazing range and is effective even against armored enemies.

The Z93’s reload time is a little bit on the slow side but you can be sure that this powerful sniper rifle will kill what it hits.
