Best New Stardew Valley Mods June 2021

instant tool upgrades

Our first Stardew Valley mod from June 2021 is this one specifically for tools. Normally, you have to wait two days for your tools to be ready after giving them to Clint to upgrade, which can be frustrating if you need to use them within that time.

This mod removes that two-day waiting period entirely. After asking Clint to upgrade your tools, he will have them ready for you immediately. You can upgrade them and then get back to work on your farm right away.

Waterfall Forest Farm

If you love the forest map but think it needs a bit more water, you’ll want to play Stardew Valley with this waterfall forest farm map. It’s a bigger map that incorporates both a foresty landscape and rivers with waterfalls.

There’s enough room to farm, keep animal buildings, and more in addition to the extra water for fishing. This new map also has an extra cave included with it. It is also compatible with multiplayer farms.

Events Expansion

events expansion

If you can’t get enough of the heart events for the residents of Pelican Town, this mod expands them and adds even more. The mod adds 18 new heart events.

The heart events included in this mod are simply more casual events to get to know the villagers better, show more of their personality, and show how they get along with each other. It’s perfect for giving the villagers a bit more depth throughout the game.

Simple Minimalist Buildings

simple minimalist buildings

This next mod is really simple and straightforward. It changes your buildings to have a simple, minimalist look.

This aesthetic is incredibly cute and features a clean, white look. The mod here will change your house and other buildings you have around your farm. On the house, there are adorable planters in the window sills.

Visible Fish

visible fish

If you spend a lot of time fishing in Stardew Valley or just want a look that’s a bit more realistic, you’ll want to download this next mod. It adds visible fish to the waters, meaning you can see what you’re about to catch before you even take out your fishing rod.

There are no gameplay changes here; only fish that are currently catchable will be shown in the water. The best part is that it even works with modded locations and fish. This is perfect if you’re trying to catch something specific and want to do so faster.

Skellar (Modified Cellar)

cellar mod

If the cellar in your house is too small for your needs or if you just think it’s a bit ugly, this mod changes both of those things.

The skellar mod makes the cellar larger and cleaner. It also adds some decorations to it so it doesn’t look so plain. If you just want it to be bigger and cleaner, you can also disable the decorations.

Junimo Dialogue

junimo dialogue

Ever wonder what those little Junimos are thinking? Well, this Junimo dialogue mod tells you just that.

The Junimos on your farm will express their thoughts on life work, weather, seasons, and occasionally you. The dialogue can vary between emotions such as happy and sassy; there’s an attitude configuration, so it’s up to you to decide how they’ll act.

Magical Family

This mod adds two new NPCs to Stardew Valley that includes events, items, and a mystery plot. Their names are Valerie and Dezerie; they’re related to the wizard, and there’s more to them than meets the eye.

You can follow Valerie’s story by following her heart events and even marrying her if you choose to. There are plenty of mystery events that drive forward the plot. Both new characters have their own gift preferences and schedule.

You can download and read more about this complex mod right here.

Character Hairstyles

character hairstyles

There are many hairstyle options for your playable character, but maybe you really love the hairstyles that the villager NPCs have. This character hairstyle mod lets you choose those styles for yourself.

Not only can you choose their hairstyles, but you can also recolor them. For example, you can have Leah’s iconic braid, but you can change the color to blonde, purple, or any other hair color you want.

Fishing Info Overlays

Finally, if you didn’t like the visible fish mod above, there’s another option for knowing what fish you can catch. This fishing info overlay mod doesn’t show the fish in the water but instead shows the available fish as an informational chart on the side of the screen.

This will change depending on what area of the game you’re in, the time of day, season, etc. to show what is currently available to catch. It’s a much more simplified and straightforward way of knowing what is currently catchable.
