Nier Replicant is an action RPG that serves as the predecessor to Nier: Automata, and while it does feature tons of new improvements and a few additions here and there, the quests and and core content remain the same. Finding the Cookbook in Nier Replicant (Bon Appetit Quest)
As you edge towards the end of the first half of the game, you can take on a side quest from the tavern owner in Seafront. This quest is called Bon Appetit, and the owner will task you with helping them to come up with new ideas for a dish, and Grimoire Weiss will suggest looking for a Cookbook.
Do note that you need to have completed the prior quest for the tavern owner in replenishing their ingredients, or this quest won’t be available to you.
Either way, once you accept the quest, head back to the village and go to the library. Upon entering the library, turn to the left and check the bookshelf right next to the door. You should find the Cookbook there, and you can take it back to the tavern owner who will then ask you to fetch some ingredients.
These tavern owner quests are definitely worh doing in Nier Replicant, as they can fetch you quite a bit of money. Money isn’t the easiest to come by in this game, but you’ll need a lot of it if you want to buy all of the available weapons.
