While the Xbox Series X and Series S may appear to be tooled more for gaming with a controller, it isn’t lacking in ways for you to play in the way that makes you most comfortable. Case in point: You can very much play with a mouse and keyboard if you so choose. Figuring out how to do this may be tricky though, which is why we’re here to help with a guide on how to connect a mouse and keyboard on Xbox Series X and Series S.
How to Connect Mouse and Keyboard on Xbox Series X and Series S
To connect your mouse and keyboard on the Xbox Series X and Series S, all you need to do is connect them via the console’s USB ports.
This can be done in one of a few ways. If you have a shorter USB cord that’ll serve to connect both the Mouse and Keyboard – with the mouse able to plug into a USB port on the keyboard, for example – then you can use the port found on the front of the console.
On the other hand, if you have longer cords attached to each device and need to hook them up separately, then you’re still in luck. On the back of the Xbox Series X and Series S, two more USB ports can be found that will allow you to hook up each device on their own.
Regardless, once you’ve hooked up both the mouse and keyboard, they’ll both register as your means of controlling the console and you’ll be able to play your games in the way you’re most comfortable with.
