Watch Dogs Legion is the third main entry in Ubisoft open world sci-fi series, and unlike the past two games, there’s no set protagonist to follow in this one. Instead, you can recruit almost any NPC in the open world and play as them during missions instead. With that in mind, you might be wondering if there’s a max team size in the game. Here’s what you need to know about the maximum number of recruits you can have in Watch Dogs Legion.
What the Max Team Size Is in Watch Dogs Legion
To get straight to the point, the max team size in Watch Dogs Legion is 45. This means that you can only have a total of 45 active and potential recruits in the game. To clarify, if you start a recruitment mission for an NPC, they’ll be listed as a potential recruit in the menu and will take up one team slot. However, you can always abandon the mission if you need to free up the slot for another potential recruit.
In addition to that, you can also retire existing operatives if you need to make more space.
To do this, press the touchpad on PS4 or the View button on Xbox One to bring up the menu, then go to the Team tab. Select an Operative and press the X or A button to edit, then select the option to retire them. They’ll be released from your team and will go back out into the open world.
If you happen to discover them in the open world again, they’ll be marked as a former operative, and you can always recruit them back into your team if you change your mind or if you have space.
Playing the game with permadeath enabled means that when killed, operatives will not return to the game. If you’re having trouble making space on your team, starting a fresh campaign with permadeath should pretty much ensure that you’ll never have to worry about filling up space, especially if you tend to play a bit more recklessly.
That’s all you need to know about what the max team size is in Watch Dogs Legion and how many recruits you can have. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
