Only a few days after an anonymous leak, Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been confirmed by Ubisoft in the form of a sneek peak trailer. The video begins with the disclaimer that “the following is alpha game footage” and the Ubisoft logo with the phrase “Next-gen starts [here].” The stunning trailer features a moving shot of famous sights like a hallway at the Palace at Versailles, Parisian streets, and our new assassin overlooking a crowd amassing for an execution by guillotine.

The team at Ubisoft stated in their press release that they have been working on the game for more than three years and released the footage following the leaked info/screenshots.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity, if that even ends up being the final name, will release during “Holiday 2014” for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Bring on ze baguettes!
