Before you can start any cooking, you’ll need to gather the meat that you’re going to cook. At the moment, the only cookable item in Stonehard is Venison.

To get Venison, hunt a deer or moose. After successfully killing them, they drop meat.

Wolves and Foxes are also huntable but don’t drop any meat at this time.

Once you’ve located one, right-click on the fire to start preparing the raw food on it.

Keep in mind that while you can eat raw food, you’ll get better stats from eating the prepared version of it. Cooked food also sells for more at the meat vendor too.
