Released for the Wii U a few years back, Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore is making a resurgence with a new port release on the Nintendo Switch. It’s primarily a classic turn-based combat RPG, but with a neat little twist. Here’s how to use Session attacks in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore.
How to Use Session Attacks in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore
Session attacks are pretty easy to understand; whenever a party member manages to hit an enemy’s weakness with a particular attack, another party member can follow up with a Session attack if they’ve already learned the appropriate skill.
For instance, if Itsuki manages to hit an enemy’s weakness with the spell Zio, Tsubasa can follow up with the Elec-Lunge attack if she’s already learned it. And if another party member like Touma or Kiria has learned a skill that can follow up with Zio or Elec-Lunge, they can chain their own Session attacks as well to deal even more damage.
It’s also worth noting that these attacks don’t take up any MP, which means you’re basically getting extra damage for free if you hit a weakness, and have the right skills learned. You’ll be able to check all the Session attacks learned by each party member from their status screen, and also see the requirements for it to trigger.
Finally, aside from just dealing more damage, these follow-up attacks are very helpful for getting you more Performa, items, and money. If you manage to chain three attacks together, you’ll automatically be rewarded with a bit more money and an item, so keep that in mind.
To recap, here’s how to use Session attacks in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore:
- Hit an enemy’s weakness with an ability.
- If another party member has an attack that can be triggered from the ability the first member used, it’ll be used automatically in the battle.
