How to Change Difficulty in Rage 2

Like most modern action games these days, Rage 2 does indeed come with a few difficulty settings you can choose from: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare.

When you first start up a new game, you’ll be able to choose your preferred setting and roll with it. However, if you feel like the game’s too easy or challenging for your liking when you’re already in the middle of the game, you can still change your mind.

To do this, press the Options button on PS4 (or Menu button if you’re on Xbox One) to bring up the pause menu. Go to Settings, General Settings, and the first option on the list will allow you to choose between the four settings. You can then use the d-pad to swap between them.

Once you’ve made your selection, back out of the menu and you’ll be good to go.

Thankfully, there doesn’t seem to be any difficulty-related trophies or achievements in Rage 2, which means that you don’t have to worry about the settings if you’re trying to platinum or 100% the game. This is also a great setting for players who might want to shake up the gameplay experience a little once they’ve gotten used to it.

That’s all you need to know about how to change difficulty settings in Rage 2. Be sure to check our Rage 2 guide wiki or search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
