How to Heal Your Health in Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry 5 brings a brand new story to the franchise, bringing back Nero and Dante after the events of Devil May Cry 4. Just like the rest of the series, DMC 5 can be incredibly challenging depending on the difficulty you’re playing, and you’ll constantly have hordes of enemies trying to kill you. It’s definitely important for you to know how to heal your health in Devil May Cry 5.
How to Heal
There isn’t an easy way to heal in Devil May Cry 5, and that fact ties into the general style and challenge of the game. Your health (Vitality) is represented by the green bars at the top left of the screen.
The main way of healing in the game is by collecting green orbs, which look exactly like red orbs just green instead. Each orb will restore about three bars of your health. The only other way we’ve found of healing is by using the Sweet Surrender Devil Breaker, which comes as a bonus in the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Using this breaker during battle by pressing circle (B) will heal about one bar of health, but it takes a few seconds to do.
Where to Find Green Orbs
Generally, green orbs are found before and after battles, and most of the time you won’t find them in actual combat areas. They’re found either just floating in the air, or in green ore veins that you can break and collect.
Sometimes enemies will also drop green orbs, and the Qliphoth tentacles that pop up will always give you one green orb. They certainly aren’t plentiful, however, so it’s vitally important that you try and dodge enemy attacks as much as possible, or block them with the Royal Guard style when playing as Dante.
How to Get More Health (Vitality)
In order to increase your vitality in Devil May Cry 5 you’ll need to find Blue Orb shards, and once you find four you’ll get a new health bar. These shards are generally found in secret areas that you need to explore and find, or figure out a way to jump up to. One thing you can do is click and hold down the left stick to focus in on your next objective, then make sure to explore everywhere that isn’t that direction.
You can also purchase full Blue Orbs in the Customize menu of Nico’s shop, or at Divine Statues. The first Blue Orb will cost 3000 red orbs, and the price will increase each time you buy one. Still, it’s an easy way to get more health if you find yourself struggling.
