How to Change Weapons in Anthem

Anthem gives you quite a few different options for battle, letting you choose between multiple Javelins, weapons and more. Eventually, you’ll be able to take more than one weapon into battle, and you’ll need to swap between them on the fly depending on the situation. Here’s how to change weapons in Anthem.

How to Get Another Weapon

Before you can even think about swapping to another weapon, you’ll need the ability to equip two. In order to do that you’ll need to raise your Pilot Level to level 3. The good news is this shouldn’t be hard to do, as you just need to keep playing and completing different missions.

Playing with other players or friends is the best way to do this, honestly, as experience is shared when playing with others. Once you’ve reached Pilot Level 3 in Anthem, you can go to the Forge and equip a second weapon. You can collect new weapons while out exploring or craft them yourself.

How to Change Weapons

Now that you have a second weapon equipped, it’s easy to swap between them on the fly. All you need to do is press Square (X on Xbox, Tab on PC) to swap between the two. Ammo pickups, the blue orbs that you can find on the ground and drop from enemies, will also help to replenish ammo for both weapons.

Keep in mind that not every Javelin in Anthem can equip every weapon. For example, the Colossus is the only one that can equip the minigun and grenade launcher, but they can’t equip a pistol or SMG.

That’s everything you need to know about how to change weapons in Anthem. For even more tips, tricks, and guides make sure to search Twinfinite, or you can just take a look at our expansive Anthem wiki.
