Dragon Quest Creator Yuji Horii has recently revealed Dragon Quest XI S for Nintendo Switch, but apparently, he has more news in store for the fans.
Today he took to Twitter to wish us Happy New Year, and he didn’t refrain from teasing upcoming reveals.
新年あけましておめでとうとごさいます。新年早々、新しい地図の皆さんとのコラボ。また6日からはドラマの放送と、一作目から32年たった今も、このように新しいことを発表できることに本当に感謝です。まだまだ言えないことも多々ありますが、本年も、よろしくお願いしますね! pic.twitter.com/R8dACLIBNW

Horii-san mentions the Dragon Quest X live-action TV drama that will be broadcasted in Japan on January 6th, and that after 32 years from the launch of the first game he really appreciates that he’s still able to announce new things.
He concluded by mentioning that there are still many things he cannot reveal yet and by thanking the fans for their support in the new year.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see what Horii-san has in store for the fans this year, especially considering that Dragon Quest XI S is coming, and we still don’t know much about what it’ll offer besides Japanese voice acting.
We’ll see if Square Enix will satisfy the request from the fans for an update of the existing PS4 version as well.
Horii-san did promise a surprise for today, but it was only tangentially related to the game (even if it’s quite fun to try out).
The Switch version of Dragon Quest XI will come in 2019. If you want to see more, you can also check out how Dragon Quest XI S stacks against the PS4 version in terms of graphics.
