How to Open Metal Chests in Spyro Reignited Trilogy
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is finally available, and there’s a lot to live here for longtime fans and newcomers alike. Chests are scattered across the different realms and worlds, usually housing gems and other valuables. You have your basic crates, which are easy to break, but there are also stronger versions that won’t open as easily. If you’re having trouble, here’s how to open metal chests in Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
These metal chests, also known as strong chests, are extremely sturdy and won’t break with simple attacks in Spyro Reignited Trilogy. These crates hold plenty of gems and are a great way to earn more money, which are needed to access new homeworlds and realms in the game.
You can usually find these metal chests sitting around various realms. They aren’t impenetrable, however, as Spyro can open these metal chests with his supercharge. If you want to use another method, you can also break these crates by hitting them with sufficient firepower, such as the superflame.
What the Supercharge Is
The supercharge is one of Spyro’s many skills and a step up from his regular charge attack. He can use this to run faster or jump higher if he runs off certain platforms when exploring the map in Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
In combat, this technique can defeat large enemies wearing armor, metalback spiders. The Supercharge is also a great way to catch up to thieves, break down doors, and open those metal chests.
To perform the supercharge in Spyro Reignited Trilogy, look for a slope with arrows pointing down and start dashing towards that direction. You’ll start to build up speed, and when you’re finally fast enough, ram right into a strong chest to open them.
What the Superflame Is
The Superflame is an upgraded skill that Spyro can learn in Spyro Reignited Trilogy. This powered up ability turns his flame into a bright red, letting him burn any enemies in metal armor and open metal chests. You can only get this ability on supercharge tracks in the first game, while they are only available through Powerup Gates in the second and third game.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know about how to open those metal chests in Spyro Reignited Trilogy. If you need more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite. We have plenty of other useful guides to help you on your adventure.
