All Xbox One Game Releases for November 2018

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

October is almost over, with the spooky festivities rounding out the month. So it’s about time we take a look at all of the Xbox One games due to release in the month of November 2018. As is usually the case around this time of year, there are a number of hotly anticipated titles releasing in November, and there’s sure to be something for everyone to sink their teeth into.

While there are some smaller releases hitting the Xbox One in November 2018, such as Carnival Games, Ride 3, and Farming Simulator 19, most players’ attention will be focused on the likes of Hitman 2, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and Fallout 76. Alas, they’re all releasing within a day or two of one another, so we’ll break down what makes each of these, alongside some of November 2018’s other Xbox One releases, potentially worth your time.

First up is Hitman 2, which provides players with six new sandbox worlds to go about assassinating targets in any way they can possibly imagine and execute while getting away undetected. Rather than going down the same episodic route that its predecessor did, with IO Interactive wanting to play through the story at their own leisure rather than having to wait for each individual drop. To make up for it, though, Hitman 2 will continue to have timed content, providing players with ample reason to return to previous levels to take out targets in new and challenging ways. Should you be looking for an Xbox One game that blends shooting with tactical, puzzle-like gameplay, Hitman 2 should most certainly be on your radar.

For something a little less gritty, on the very same day, players can sink their teeth into Spyro Reignited Trilogy. A stunning remake of the three games that made the purple dragon so damn iconic within the industry. The trio of remastered titles, complete with glorious HD visuals, are sure to take players for a sweet nostalgic trip down memory lane. Think Crash Bandicoot’s N.Sane Trilogy from last year, but for Spyro and you’ve got a good idea of what’s on offer.

Just one day after the release of Hitman 2 and Spyro, Bethesda’s bringing its latest entry in the Fallout series to the Xbox One (as well as PS4 and PC). Fallout 76 is pretty different to its predecessors, however, by making its sprawling post-apocalyptic world, that’s four times the size of Fallout 4’s, a shared world. Players can embark on quests together, take each other down, or just take on the world entirely on their own should they be a lone wanderer at heart.

One key element of the game appears to be the CAMP system, allowing players to carve out their own personal space anywhere in the West Virginia wasteland with a building system torn right out of Fallout 4. There’s also nuke codes that can drop nuclear bombs across the map, folklore monsters such as Mothman and the Flatwoods Monster, and so much more typical Fallout goodness to uncover.

Exactly whether or not it’s going to completely scratch that Fallout itch remains to be seen with it adopting this new format, but we’ll only have to wait a few weeks to know for certain.

Rounding out November 2018’s big hitters on Xbox One is Battlefield V. Tackling WWII with its single-player stories and large-scale multiplayer matches, players will make the most of a number of different weapons and vehicles to put DICE’s Frostbite engine to good use with real-life explosions and destruction. EA had been looking to join the battle royale party this year with Battlefield V, too, but has since delayed the game mode into 2019.
