What the Blue Beacon Light Means in Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta
CoD Black Ops 4’s Battle Royale mode, Blackout, is in beta this weekend and it’s officially time to see CoD’s rendition of the popular genre. Fans will drop right into a map, fight to survive it, and come out on top as number one among a whole bunch of other players. Or die within the first five minutes, you know. Some players might have noticed some weird blue beacons of light around the map if they’ve played for long enough. Here’s what those blue beacon lights in Black Ops 4’s Blackout Beta mean.
If you’re thinking of heading to those lights, you’re on track for getting some good loot. But it’s important to note that that signals where there’s a zombie infestation. That’s right, zombies are in Blackout.
If you go there and start slaying some zombies, you’ll get better weapons and loot than you usually would around the game. This comes at a cost, of course. They wouldn’t just make this entirely easy to see where the good loot is.
Not only will the zombies attack you in packs, but they only die with headshots. Even further than that, though, everyone playing in the Blackout match sees that blue beacon light. If you’re fighting some zombies, you’re left susceptible to getting jumped by actual players if they’re stalking you in the distance. They might even come right in, kill you, and take your valuable loot for themselves.
That’s all there is to it! That’s what the blue beacon light in CoD Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta means.
