Is There a Difficulty Trophy or Achievement in No Man’s Sky NEXT

Recommended Videos

No Man’s Sky was initially released as an exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and included a variety of different trophies that hunters could try to nab. A lot of them are tied to natural progression in the game such as  “The Stars, Like Dust” which you get from using your warp drive three times, “Babel-17” which you get from learning ten different alien words, and “Use of Weapons” which you get from destroying an enemy ship. The Path Finder DLC also added some trophies as well. The trophy To Live Forever, is probably the closest thing to a difficulty trophy or achievement that’s currently in No Man’s Sky. It requires you to reach the center of the galaxy while playing in permadeath mode.

As far as we know, there won’t be any additional difficulty trophies or achievements that are added with the No Man’s Sky NEXT Update, but if that changes, we’ll update this post and let you know what it is.

No Man’s Sky has seen quite the transformation in both gameplay, and public opinion over time. After its initial launch, a combination of hype that followed gameplay promises that Hello Games weren’t able to fulfill right away led to the game being criticized by many. Many critics and fans felt burned by No Man’s Sky’s lack of content and fulfillment of features. However, since that extremely rough start, the development team has continued to add features and the NEXT Update is the culmination of their efforts, as many long requested features will finally be added into the game such as a more direct way to play with others in multiplayer.

We’ll see when the update goes live whether or not No Man’s Sky finally reaches its sky-high potential, and becomes the game that many hoped it would eventually be.
