How to Hit the Piranha Plants (Piranha Plant Habitat) in Mario Tennis Aces

Recommended Videos

One of the early challenges in Mario Tennis Aces has you fending off multiple Piranha Plants in the forest zone. You’ll have a time limit for the stage, and your job is to hit the Plants 30 times before that timer reaches zero. It can be a little tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing, so here are a couple of things you need to know.

First off, it’s important to aim your shots properly at the Piranha Plants in Mario Tennis Aces. You’ll want to make use of the lob shots to hit the Piranha Plants hanging around in the back, and using the flat shot to hit the ones in the front row. The regular shots will work as well of course, but we found that the lob and flat shots made it a little easier to aim at the Piranha Plants. Also, no matter what you do, make sure you don’t get hit by the fireballs. This will take away time from the timer, while landing shots on the plants will increase the time limit.

Whenever your energy meter is filled up in Mario Tennis Aces, you’ll have the opportunity to pull off zone shots, which are extremely useful for hitting the Piranha Plants in the back, or whichever ones you have trouble aiming at. Whenever the glowing star appears on the ground, hit R and use your zone shot to get some easy points in.
