How to Light a Campfire in ARK Survival Evolved

ARK Survival Evolved is all about surviving the dangerous wilderness filled with dinosaurs that would just love to gobble you up. You’ll get cold and it will get dark at night. Not only that, but you’ll get hungry, too. All of these things need to be satiated with the magical powers of the campfire. Here’s how to light a campfire within the game.

First and foremost, you’re going to want to build a campfire for yourself and your camp. You’ll need Thatch, Flint, Stone, and Wood. Once you have it all and can craft one, go ahead and place it down.

Next, to light it, you’re going to need to place some sort of fuel. This can be thatch or wood to start. Place it within the campfire’s inventory and then you can go ahead and activate it using either E (keyboard), Y (Xbox One), or Triangle (PS4). The fire will get going.

You’ll be able to light up the area, cook food, and warm up, too. It’s one of the most important objects in the game, for sure.
