How to Get White Sign Soapstone in Dark Souls Remastered

White Sign Soapstone is the item you’re going to need to get your hands on if you want to play some co-op multiplayer in Dark Souls Remastered. For the most part, this works the same as it did back in the original game, and as a result, the location and how you get White Sign Soapstone in Dark Souls Remastered is also exactly the same.

To get this co-op multiplayer-enabling item, you’ll need to either kill Solaire, or respond “Yes” to both of his questions when you first meet him. If you’re unsure of where to track down this iconic character from the Dark Souls series, you’ll want to make your way to the Undead Burg, just to the right of the Great Bridge after you defeat the Taurus Demon.

Once you’ve acquired the White Sign Soapstone, equip it to one of your item slots and ensure you’ve got it selected. Now, press Square (X on Xbox One) and you’ll leave your summon sign on the ground. Any other players who happen to be in that area can then interact with it to summon you and start an online co-op session. If you want to only play with friends, check out our guide on how to set a password here.
