15 Good PS4 Games From 2018 So Far
While Final Fantasy XV launched way back in November 2016, Square Enix is far from done with the game. They’ve just released a new version of the game this year, dubbing it as the “Royal Edition.” As it stands, this is the closest thing we have to a “complete” edition of the latest entry in the fantasy series – at least for now. Needless to say, the Royal Edition comes complete with the main game along with a handful of new features.
The game comes with a “Royal Pack” that expands the story, adding some extra cutscenes and what not. Similarly, players also have access to the first-person view, so you can enjoy Eos and its beautiful vistas with your own eyes. On top of that, players can also enjoy all of the recently released DLC, from Prompto down to Ignis. If you’ve been itching to play a good PS4 game, might as well pick up the best version of Final Fantasy XV.
Atelier Lydie and Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings
15 Good PS4 Games From 2018 So Far
Most JRPGs are mainly about being a hero and heading off on a personal journey of self-discovery and righteousness. While that’s all good and fun, Atelier Lydie and Suelle goes for a completely different direction and opts for a more customary experience. You’ll be playing as two young alchemists, Lydie and Suelle, who run their own Atelier. Since their deadbeat dad is too lazy to help them out, it’s up to these two girls to find ends meet and increase their atelier’s rank.
While the game does feature combat and leveling systems, the game places a big focus on alchemy. You’ll be off exploring new areas while gathering different materials that you’ll use for synthesis back at your workshop. You can create tons of different items, from bombs to bags, that you can sell, equip, or use in battle. If you’re looking for a good PS4 game that isn’t too heavy, Atelier Lydie and Suelle offers a laid-back experience that makes a grand adventure out of your day-to-day activities.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT
15 Good PS4 Games From 2018 So Far
After seven years, Square Enix has finally decided to grace us again with a new Dissidia game. This spin-off series gathers iconic heroes from throughout the franchise for epic fights. Famous faces, such as Cloud and Noctis, are playable and each come with their own unique move sets. Fights are divided into four different classes: Vanguards, Marksmen, Assassins, and Specialists. The Brave system also makes a comeback, with characters having access to two types of moves. Brave attacks steal the enemy’s bravery, which can lead to a Bravery break. The more Bravery you have, the more HP damage you can deal.
Unlike the first two games, Dissidia NT brings intense 3v3 action, allowing up to six players to take part in an online fight. The game also introduces a few new other modes along with a brand new story. If the fights feel too cluttered for you, you can always play the traditional 1v1 and 2v2 battles. If you’re a hardcore Final Fantasy fan, then Dissidia NT is a good PS4 game that’s worth picking up.

Don’t be fooled by Celeste’s charming 2D graphics – this game hits you hard. At its core, Celeste is a simple platforming adventure that relies on running and jumping, for the most part. However, what makes the game truly shine are its brilliantly crafted maps and challenging levels. The game is hard to put down once you’ve started, as you’ll be jumping across all sorts of death-defying traps and puzzles with the sole mission of reaching the top of Celeste mountain. Every stage introduces a new mechanic that forces you to think fast and act faster as you traverse through windy plateaus, a haunted hotel, the depths of a jungle, and other thrilling environments.
Platforming aside, Celeste also offers a compelling narrative about a young woman named Madeline who’s hit a major rut in her life.
