Bethesda is at it again with another Skyrim game. You might be thinking why you should buy this game again for the fourth time, and the reason is simple: VR. This Steam game takes the action to you (assuming you have a VR headset), bringing you straight to the world of Skyrim. You can finally experience the game in true first-person perspective, living out your life as the Dragonborn. Fulfill your destiny and defeat the evil dragon, Alduin, who’s prophesied to bring havoc and ruin to the world. That said, Skyrim VR also comes bundled with all of the previously released DLC, so you can go off trotting with Serena and the Dawnguard on their exclusive missions. There’s honestly no better way to experience Skyrim than in VR.

Minit

Are you a fan of role-playing games but hate having to spend hours on end in a winding dungeon, desperately searching for a save point so you can finally take a break? In Minit, you won’t have to worry about those situations since each playthrough lasts only 60 seconds. Play as this duck creature who stumbles across a cursed sword that shortens its life down to a minute. However, death is only the beginning since players will always respawn back at their home. While each adventure only lasts a minute, there are always different areas to explore and new enemies to face. Each playthrough offers a completely different experience, offering a refreshing take on the typical RPG formula. It’s up to you to piece the bigger picture together throughout your adventure and put an end to your curse.

The Swords of Ditto is a charming little Steam game that offers a deceptively insane challenge. This roguelike action RPG has you fighting against waves of relentless enemies on your quest to defeat the evil Mormo. If your character ever dies during their journey, they will stay dead. Instead, a new hero will come along and take their place, continuing their legacy against the dark forces. Battles are tight and intense, with players having access to a collection of weapons such as swords, bows, a vinyl record frisbee, a magic golf club, and more. You can even power up your heroes using stickers you find during your adventures. What makes the game truly shine, however, is its multiplayer mode. You can share the fun with friends and take on different dungeons and missions together. Tied together with charming 2D graphics, The Swords of Ditto is a Steam game you don’t want to miss out on.

Frostpunk

Best Steam Games of April 2018

Frostpunk tasks you with building a city from scratch during an era of political turmoil and unrelenting cold. As the leader of the new city, it’s on you to keep your civilians happy by giving them enough warmth and shelter. Meanwhile, you also have to collect and manage your resources to survive the harsh winter. That said, this city-builder goes beyond crafting and introduces laws as a way to push players into making some serious choices. These decisions ultimately come down to practicality vs morality, always posing the question of how far you’re willing to go to keep your city alive. On top of that, you’ll have to keep track of your city’s Hope and Discontent, always making sure your people are happy. Frostpunk seriously stands out from most games in its genre with its emphasis on its morality system.
