Light Machine Gun (LMG) Release Date in Fortnite Battle Royale

Recommended Videos

If you head onto Fortnite Battle Royale today, you’ll find that the New Updates option (which you can check out by pressing RT on Xbox One or R2 on PS4) talks about a Light Machine Gun (LMG) coming soon. With another interesting weapon being added to Fortnite Battle Royale’s pretty extensive arsenal, some players will likely be wondering when they can get their hands on the Light Machine Gun (LMG).

Well, if past content reveals are anything to go by, you can expect to see the Light Machine Gun (LMG) popping up following the usual downtime early Thursday morning (April 19) around 3 a.m – 7 a.m. The duration of the downtime does fluctuate a little bit dependent on the amount of content and fixes that need to be implemented, but hopefully, it won’t take too long to get things back up and running this week.

We don’t know a whole lot about the Light Machine Gun (LMG) in Fortnite Battle Royale just yet. The brief description provided reads: “New LMG weapon has a fast rate of fire, large magazine, and slow reload.” It doesn’t sound like it’s going to completely change the game, but it’s sure to come in handy when trying to pin enemies down. Epic Games has yet to reveal exactly what rarities the Light Machine Gun (LMG) will come in.
