February 2018 Free Games

The Games With Gold program is back with another lineup of free games that subscribers can get their hands on in February 2018. As always, there are four games up for grabs this month, including the likes of Shadow Warrior and Assassin’s Creed. The first Shadow Warrior game puts you in the shoes of Lo Wang, a shogun who was abandoned by his brethren. Lo Wang then goes on a journey to recover a mystical blade that allows him to fight demons and otherworldly beings. It’s a bit of a silly premise, but Shadow Warrior is still a really fun and bloody action game that’s easy to get into.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is a special kind of Assassin’s Creed game. Instead of engaging in all the parkour action you might be used to, India has you solve puzzles in a 2.5D side-scroller title. It’s still packed with beautiful scenery and there’s plenty of Assassin’s Creed lore available for series fans, too.

For those looking to show their Xbox 360 some love, Crazy Taxi is up for grabs this month. This classic title has you racing through the streets as a cab driver and pulling off dangerous stunts within a time limit.

Here are all the free games Gold subscribers can get in February 2018:

  • Shadow Warrior
  • Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India
  • Split/Second
  • Crazy Taxi

Rime

Sony is offering two big games for their Plus subscribers this month, Knack and RiME. Knack was originally released as part of the PS4’s launch lineup, and while it didn’t exactly wow a lot of players, it was still a fairly charming and enjoyable platformer in its own right. Knack lets you take control of the titular protagonist as he’s able to change his size to suit various combat situations and solve environmental puzzles.

RiME was released just last year, and it’s a gorgeous adventure game set within a bright, vibrant world. Taking control of a young boy, players are tossed onto a mysterious island with no idea how they got there. You’ll then have to explore the island and make your way to the tower to uncover whatever secrets it’s hiding.

If you’re still keeping your PS3 and PS Vita around, Spelunker HD and Grand Kingdom are worth looking into. Spelunker is a platformer where players must get through a cave while working with a limited air supply. The PS3 version comes with updated graphics, though the core gameplay remains the same. On the other hand, Grand Kingdom is an SRPG that comes packed with a lot of depth to its combat system and customization. While the story and characters themselves aren’t super memorable, this is still a fun title to have on your system if you’re just in it for the strategy gameplay. It’s also available on PS4.

Here are all the free games PS Plus subscribers can get in February 2018:

  • Knack
  • RiME
  • Spelunker HD
  • Mugen Souls Z
  • Exiles End
  • Grand Kingdom
