EASIEST PS4 TROPHIES AND PLATINUMS OF DECEMBER 2017

Okami HD

Okami HD, the cult classic action-adventure game returned last month, remastered for current generation consoles. While, as we mentioned in our review, it is a great game with an immersive world and charming art style, any trophy hunters out there will be happy to hear that the list is quite straightforward. The list is made up of 51 trophies, including 42 bronzes, five silvers, three golds, and the all-important platinum. The majority of the trophies can be unlocked in one playthrough due to them requiring you to reach particular chapters of the game or perform certain tasks. There are three missable trophies, too, most notably the gold titles ‘Barking Up the Cherry Tree’ which asks you to ‘Earn a Cherry Tree rank for each item in the Total Results screen’. Yet even these are all easy to catch with the help of a guide. Most gamers will find that only a small number of the collectible trophies prove a little tougher to obtain.

In the end, even if you do not plan to unlock every trophy in Okami HD, one playthrough will see you add a significant number of trophies to your collection.

Telltale’s Minecraft Story Mode Season 2

EASIEST PS4 TROPHIES AND PLATINUMS OF DECEMBER 2017

Minecraft Story Mode Telltale

Rarely goes a month without the release of an episode of a Telltale game, and they all have very easy trophy lists. The fifth and final episode of season two of Minecraft Story Mode released this month and the trophies follow the same structure as every other episode. The list features six trophies, including three bronzes, two silvers, and one gold, each of which is unlocked by doing nothing more than finishing a chapter. Also, since this is the final episode of the season, completing the game and unlocking the final set of trophies will also unlock the platinum trophy. If you’ve played a Telltale game before, you’ll know exactly what to expect.

The second season of Minecraft is also great fun and you can read our review of the final episode here.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm

EASIEST PS4 TROPHIES AND PLATINUMS OF DECEMBER 2017

While Life is Strange: Before the Storm follows the same episodic structure of Telltale’s games, the trophy list isn’t quite so straightforward. This time, the game prompts players to do a little more exploration to reap the reward. Similar to the optional photo opportunities in the original Life is Strange, Before the Storm asks you to find and complete ten optional graffiti in each of the three episodes. Some are very easy to find and you’ll come across them organically, but some require some searching. They aren’t difficult things to do and the locations can be found easily with the use of a guide. Simply complete all the graffiti and all three episodes of the game to unlock the platinum trophy.

The trophy list is made up of 35 trophies, including 15 bronzes, 15 silvers, four golds, and a platinum. Before the Storm is an excellent prequel to the original games, if you’re on the fence about playing it, check out our review of the final episode.
