Nintendo Switch January 2018 Releases

December was a relatively quiet month for gaming in general, but the Nintendo Switch will still be going strong in terms of new game releases in January 2018. This month, the highlight is definitely Lost Sphear, developed by Tokyo RPG Factory and published by Square Enix. Similar to I Am Setsuna, the game evokes classic JRPG elements like turn-based combat and top-down camera views.

As always, the Switch will also receive several indie releases such as ChromaGun and Stikbold! The Escapists 2 is also slated to release for the console on the 11th, and the game tasks players with following prison rules and scheming to break out of the place. It’s a fairly slow month for new releases, but if you’re a fan of long and involved role-playing games, Lost Sphear should tide you over until February, when more games will be coming over to the console.

If none of January’s offerings really appeal to you, don’t forget to check out December’s games, and see if there’s anything you might want to pick up from there.
