(WEEKS ONE & TWO: DEC. 1-14)

Doom vfr

December is certainly slowing things down from the torrent of games we’ve received the last few months, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be anything to keep you occupied. Things start off with an intense new addition to the PSVR, as DOOM VFR releases on Dec. 1. If you want to get another dose of killing demons, you might just want to try the game out in VR. That week also sees the release of two big zombie games, as Telltale’s The Walking Dead Collection comes out, and Dead Rising 4 finally hits PS4.

The second week is slightly slower, although RPG fans have a treat with Fallen Legion and Tokyo Xanadu EX+, the expanded port of the PS Vita title that released earlier this year. December also sees the release of quite a bit of DLC for some big games. First off we’ve got the highly anticipated first expansion for Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, which promises new gear, a new story, and explorable Mercury, new Strikes, and more.

Battlefield 1 gets its aquatic-themed Turning Tides expansion, and Resident Evil 7 sees the release of not one but two DLC packs with the Chris Redfield focused Not a Hero and the End of Zoe. Finally, we get the HD remaster of the gorgeous PS2 classic Okami, along with Episode Ignis for Final Fantasy XV and an updated version of Night in the Woods. Here’s the full list of releases.

DECEMBER 2017 PS4 VIDEO GAME RELEASES

(WEEKS THREE & FOUR: DEC. 15-31)

While the first two weeks of December are moderately loaded up with releases, the last two weeks really slow things down. It isn’t entirely surprising though, as the holidays hit right then, and we’ll all be gearing up for a new wave of releases in January. The big title in the final two weeks is the indie game Tiny Metal. A spiritual successor to Advance Wars, Tiny Metal looks like it captures the quirkiness and charm of Nintendo’s strategy series.

  • Dec. 19 – Defunct
  • Dec. 19 – Shooty Fruity
  • Dec. 21 – Tiny Metal
