Destiny 2: How to Play With Friends

How to Play With Friends in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

Pushing back the Cabal onslaught in Destiny 2 sure is fun on your own, but the game really comes into its own when you assemble a Fireteam and play with other people. That gets even better, however, when you’re playing with friends, celebrating each other’s exotic finds and helping each other up when they fall. As such, many players may be wondering exactly what you need to do to play with friends in Destiny 2.

To play with friends, simply go to your roster which is accessible from your Director, and select the person’s name that you want to join/ invite. Press X on PS4/ A on Xbox One and you should then be given the options to Join Fireteam or Invite to Fireteam. If your friend’s Fireteam is full, you won’t be able to join and Destiny 2 will let you know. If you invited your friend, however, it’s just a case of waiting for them to accept the invite.

The game does have some limits to how many players can be in a Fireteam for particular things. For example, only three people can be in a Fireteam at once if you’re doing a Strike or exploring, but you can have four players if you’re taking on the Crucible.
