Matterfall: How to Save

How to Save in Matterfall

Recommended Videos

Housemarque’s Matterfall has arrived, filling your screen with all manner of enemies and projectiles for you to weave your way through and gun down. While the experience itself might be short, some players may want to save the game and take a break midway through a level, especially if you’re struggling to make the next checkpoint. Here’s what you need to know to save in Matterfall.

Matterfall, like most other games, works on an auto-save system. Once you’ve completed a level, the game will automatically save your progress, unlocking the next stage in the process.

Whenever you reach a checkpoint in one of the stages (it shows a hologram of you after walking through), you’ll trigger a safe point that you’ll return to if you die. It’s worth noting, however, that if you exit out of the level, you will have to start from the very beginning. Therefore, if you’re wanting to take a break halfway through a stage, you’ll either have to start over when you next turn on, or see it through to the end.

That’s all there is to know to ensure you’re not losing your precious progress. Now go out there and bring the pain to those machines.
