How Long Splatoon 2 Is and How Many Missions it Has
Just like the original game, Splatoon 2 comes packed with its own single-player story campaign as well. In fact, it’s probably the first thing you should get to when you’re getting started in the game. This time around, Splatoon 2’s campaign is slightly lengthier than the first game’s, though it’s structured the same way. Here’s how long it is and how many missions it has.
The campaign is broken up into five different worlds, each packed with various challenge missions you need to complete before you can unlock the boss fight for that world. Beat the boss, and you’ll gain access to the next world.
There is a total of five worlds in Splatoon 2, with a total of 32 missions. It should take you roughly around six hours to complete everything, as the challenges do ramp up in difficulty quite significantly as you continue on. The boss fights also get more and more challenging in each subsequent world, so you may find yourself stumped while trying to defeat some of them. It’s also good to note that there are collectibles to find in every mission, and if you want to hunt down everything, you’ll likely take more than six hours to complete the campaign.
Outside of the single-player campaign, there’s also an online multiplayer mode that you can sink hundreds of hours into. There are regular battles, ranked matches, and league battles to participate in. Not to mention all the weapons and clothing you can collect in the game as well. There’s plenty to do in Splatoon 2, and whether you’re a newcomer or veteran of the first title, its online multiplayer will keep you busy for hours at a time.
