There are many items that fans can expect to see in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but there are only a few here that are seen commonly throughout the series. One of those items is a good ol’ fashion bomb, which can help clear out areas or just cause destruction.

Players won’t be able to use bombs until they reach the second Shrine, Ja Baij, it is there that one will find the Bomb Rune power. Once the rune is successfully obtained, just hold up on the D-Pad and this will bring up a list of runes that are available to be used. Use the right stick in order to highlight which rune you wish to choose and select the Bomb Rune.

There are actually two types of bombs that can be used, the circle and square shaped bombs. Depending on what’s happening in the game, one might be better than the other, so it’s best to learn which bomb does what quickly. Now that the best bomb is chosen, go ahead place a bomb down by pressing the A button. Make sure to move a respectful distance away, then press the L button to detonate.
