NieR: Automata – How to Level Up Fast
NieR: Automata is an action RPG that allows you to level up your characters through gaining a bunch of experience points in combat. While you could level grind weak enemies repeatedly to level up, that’s a pretty painful process, and there are more efficient ways to go about this. We’ve listed a few ways down below to help you gain levels relatively quickly.
EXP Gain chips: Enemies drop EXP Gain chips all the time. You can buy them from the vendors at the Resistance Camp and the Bunker as well. The cool thing about these chips is that their effects will stack, so you could install a few EXP Gain chips and dramatically increase the amount of experience you get through battle. Don’t forget to fuse them to make stronger chips and level up faster, too.
Side missions: NieR: Automata offers up a lot of fun and interesting side missions that help to flesh out the world you’re in. There are a few annoying fetch quests here and there, but for the most part, they offer cool little side stories that add to the experience. Not to mention, they’re a fantastic source of experience points to help you level up quickly, too. Pick up all the side missions you see and complete them for materials (for upgrading) and experience.
Amusement Park grinding: Reddit user Ukokira found a great farming spot to level up for those stuck in the level 60-80 range. As 9S, go to the central square in the Amusement Park and hack the large area with the gun. You’ll want to subjugate him and destroy all the other machines in the area. After all machines in the area are destroyed, target the large bunny statue on the fountain and hack it. This will spawn a level 80 enemy that nets you a lot of experience points for defeating it. Hack it to deal the most damage to the enemy. Slap on the EXP Gain chips to level up as fast as possible.
