Import Your Save – The Walking Dead: A New Frontier

Recommended Videos

This week, Telltale Games released the first two episodes of the third season of its The Walking Dead series. Titled, A New Frontier, the new series takes place years after the events that closed off Season Two. However, that doesn’t mean that your old decisions don’t carry any weight here.

In fact, they can actually change the events of A New Frontier quite a bit, as long as you import your save from previous seasons. To do this, when you first start A New Frontier, you’ll be given the option to either ‘Start New Story’ or ‘Continue Your Story’. As you may have guessed, you’ll want to be picking the latter option.

This then brings up two further choices for you to pick from. You can either opt to use Telltale’s Story Generator to fill in the gaps and pick you one of 42 different starting points for your Clementine. This will factor in not only which ending you would have gotten at the end of Season Two, but also the status of all of her relationships she has made along the way.

Alternatively, you can use your Season Two save game by simply selecting the option that details your save. As long as you played Season Two on the same system, it should be a pretty straightforward option. If you played Season Two on another system, however, you can still continue with your save on your current platform. All you need to do is update The Walking Dead: Season Two to the latest version, create a Telltale account, and then enable Cloud Saves. You can then upload your season two save to the cloud.

Load A New Frontier back up and login to your Telltale account. You should now be able to access your Season Two save and carry on your story from where you left off.

That’s all there is to it. For more tips, tricks, and guides for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, be sure to check back with Twinfinite.
