Pipes – Super Mario Maker 3DS

Pipes are an essential piece of any good Mario course, and surely you’ll want to put a few down when you’re crafting courses in Super Mario Maker. Luckily the game makes it incredibly easy to both build and link pipes.

The pipe object is unlocked right from the start of Mario Maker and is on your first row of items. Simply grab the item and drag it down to wherever you want on your map. A small circle on the top of the pipe will allow you to adjust which direction it points. Now, once you have your pipe in place, simply drag Mario to the top of it and place him in the pipe. This will transport Mario to a lower section of the course, where you can place an exit pipe and build more. Remember you’ll need to build another pipe below and do the same process to get Mario back above.

Of course when you’re playing a level, simply hop on top of the pipe and hit down to use it.

Now you’re ready to get out there and start crafting more complex courses. Make sure to check back with Twinfinite for more guides and help on Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS.
