Pokemon Sun & Moon: Where the Hidden Power NPC Checker Is

Calculating Hidden Power is an overly complicated and ancient Pokemon mechanic that has existed for generations now. Alas, Pokemon Sun and Moon does nothing to make this process any easier. At the very least, you can still check what the type is to make sure you have the typing right. Here’s how to find the NPC.

The Hidden Power NPC can be found in Paniola Ranch in the Nursery. She will first give you the Hidden Power TM. After that, she will tell you what type the Hidden Power will be for the Pokemon that she checks.

It’s an important move to know for competitive battling as it helps patch up your Pokemon’s weak spots by giving it a move to counter threats with. It may not be great at only 60 BP, but it’s certainly better than nothing.
