Titanfall 2: How to Get Merits and Level Up Fast

The best way to really bring in Merits quickly and level up fast in Titanfall 2 is by making use of the Happy Hour of your Network. This is basically an incentive added into the game by Respawn to try and get players from the same Network to play together. All you have to do is play during the specific time for your Network and you’ll get five extra Merits.

Considering Merits can be a bit of a slow grind in Titanfall 2, Happy Hour is a godsend for those wanting to level up quickly. Just make sure you’re bringing your A-game during these slots to get the most out of each game.

Loadouts

Loadouts can be a bit of a catch 22 when it comes to getting Merits and leveling up. While sticking with a loadout you’re familiar with, and can own the battlefield with, will see you leveling up those pieces of equipment faster, the higher their rank the harder it will be to do so. On the other hand, you can go for a completely different loadout and not be anywhere near as effective on the battlefield, but level them up quickly because it’s easy to do so at a lower level.

Therefore, it’s best to try and get yourself familiar with a couple of different weapons, abilities, and Titans so that you can make the most of the easy Merits to be grabbed during the early levels. When things start to slow down a little, consider diversifying, but rest assured you can always go back to your tried and tested equipment and grind away.

Better yet, experiment with newer bits of equipment every so often during Happy Hour. Because things are much easier to level up, you can reap the rewards faster.

Performances

titanfall 2, everything, new

Naturally, Merits will be dished out to those who do better than average in a match. Therefore, it’s important that you’re not only playing in each and every match but really focusing on what you can do to help your team, not just going out on your own. The more times you win and the better your score is, the more chance you’ve got of picking up more Merits from getting a Good Performance medal at the end of a match.

If you’re struggling to do well in Titanfall 2, take a moment to go through the customization options for both your Pilot and Titan. You may be using a weapon or Titan that just doesn’t fit your playstyle. There’s plenty of different options available, so it’s well worth taking a quick look and trying a few different combinations out.

Upgrades

Though it won’t boost the number of Merits you get directly, using your hard-earned Credits to pick out some upgrades, new weapons, or abilities for your loadout will ultimately help to improve your performance in the game. Considering Merits are given out for leveling up your weapons, Titan, and performing well, the more options you have at your disposal, the better.

Apart from these few quick tricks, getting Merits in Titanfall 2 is otherwise a bit of a grind. If we find any other quick and easy ways to get Merits, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
