No Man’s Sky: How to Get Titanium and What it Does

Titanium – No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

Titanium is one of the most powerful metals you’ll find in No Man’s Sky. It’s an Oxide Element meaning it’s used for powering up your Starship’s Shields and your Exosuit’s Hazard Protection. It can also be used in certain crafting blueprints, as well as sold for a decent amount of Units depending on what star system you find yourself in.

Titanium is somewhat rare when exploring the planets, although it does have one common source which is quite dangerous. When searching the safe way, you’re going to want to look out for bright yellow crystals. These always represent Titanium no matter what planet you’re on. You can also find some in containers or cargo drops marked as Oxide.

If you want to be a bit more direct in your Titanium collecting, though, you’re going to have to start some trouble. Killing Sentinels actually provides you with Titanium, as does destroying other Starships. If you happen to be attacked by pirates you can get some without having the law come for you (if you survive). But, if there are no pirates around, you’re going to have to commit to a life of crime.

Once you have all of your Titanium-related needs sorted, check out our No Man’s Sky Wiki for more assistance with your space adventure.
