It looks like Blizzard Entertainment has something planned for Diablo, because earlier today on Battle.net, they announced that they’re looking to hire a new Art Director for an “unannounced project” for the Diablo universe.
The job requires applicants have a minimum of 10 years’ experience “in crafting video game art” and at least 5 years experience “as a lead artist or art director.” On top of this, the position calls for skill at drawing concept art, ability to use both 2D and 3D applications, and a “deep understanding of the Diablo franchise.”
Besides this, Blizzard revealed no information about the project. Perhaps Diablo 4 is on Blizzard’s mind, or maybe more of a spin-off title is their goal. With such high and diverse standards for the position, it seems whatever Diablo-themed project is on their agenda, it will be a quality piece of work.
Blizzard also recently announced that they will be releasing a new World of Warcraft expansion and that three new characters will be coming to Heroes of the Storm.
So what do you think Blizzard’s “unannounced project” is? Let us know in the comments below.
