I have spent a lot of time diving into the world of Rooms and Exits, and let me tell you, the Christmas Rescue mission is one of the most stressful yet rewarding chapters I have played. In the December 2025 update (version 2.51.0), the developers at Webelinx Games completely overhauled this level with brand new mini games and a much deeper story. You are playing as Fiona, a brilliant journalist detective on a mission to expose global conspiracies, but right now, your job is to save the holidays.
You only have 40 minutes to finish this mission, and trust me, that clock ticks down faster than you think. If you get stuck, the game charges 125 gold coins for a single hint, which is a total “hint trap” since you only earn 50 gold for finishing a level. To save you both time and your hard earned in-game currency, I have put together this complete walkthrough based on my own experience getting Santa out of that freezer.
How to solve the Gingerbread House and Toy Factory puzzles

When I first started Operation Rescue Santa, I found myself in Santa’s room staring at a festive table. You need to focus on the Gingerbread House first to get your very first tile.
- Pick up the chimney piece and slot it into the biggest opening on top of the roof.
- Find the door and insert it into the empty entrance.
- Grab the small circular candy by the entrance and place it on the empty slot on the roof edge.
- Take the heart-shaped candy and put it in the slot next to the window.
- Finish it off by placing the swirly flower candy right under that heart.
Once that drawer pops open, grab your first tile. I also recommend checking the coffee table with the milk and cookies right away, as there is a second tile hiding there.

Next, head to the Toy Factory. I noticed a bag at the bottom of the screen that many players miss. It is actually a vital loot source. Open it to find a horse figurine and a handle.
- Tap the carousel on the table.
- Open your inventory and insert the horse into the empty slot on the merry-go-round.
- Attach the handle to the side.
- Tap that handle to spin it, and you will find your third tile in the drawer underneath.
Solving the Bell Painting with Music

This is where the game gets really clever. You will find a card that has the code: 333 333 35123. Most people just tap the bells randomly, but I realized this is actually the melody for Jingle Bells. If you think of 1 as the first note of the scale, 3 is the mediant (E). So, 3-3-3 is just the “Jingle Bells” tune.
- Tap the painting over the left door to see the numbered bells.
- Follow the code from the card exactly: 333, then 333, then 35123.
- The painting will vanish, letting you grab the fourth tile.
Navigating the Deer Stables and the Festive Circlet

Now, let’s head over to the deer stables. Grab the firewood from the basket on the floor because you will need it later to heat things up. There is a box here with a color sorting puzzle. My strategy is to focus on the bottom and right side toys first. I push the green, red, and yellow toys to the top by creating a temporary buffer in the bottom row for the pink and orange ones. Solving this gives you a giant blue button and a pair of scissors.
Take that blue button back to the Toy Factory and look at the Festive Circlet on the balcony door.
- Insert the button into the missing slot.
- To get the pattern, you have to look at the garlands on the tree in the stable.
- Tap the red button until all red lights are on.
- Tap the blue button until exactly half of the blue lights are on.
- Tap the yellow button until all are lit except the very last one.
This unlocks the balcony where you can find the fifth tile, a matchstick box, and a plush bunny for Daisy.
The Secret to the Sled Nonogram

Back in Santa’s room, tap the green gift box under the tree to find a Nonogram puzzle. I love these “paint by numbers” logic puzzles because they are entirely deterministic. The clues for the rows are 2, 4, 4, 4, 2, and the columns are 1,1; 5; 5; 3; 1.
- Tap the five horizontal boxes in the center to create the sled’s body.
- Repeat the pattern on the line above.
- Fill in the vertical lines to complete the shape of the sled.
- Take that solved pattern to the red control panel on the sled in the deer stable and copy it exactly to get the next tile.
Using Narrative Deduction at the Typing Machine

The typing machine puzzle is a great example of Fiona’s journalism skills at work. You will see a name scrambled as Aida Sanyy. After I looked through the pile of letters and a nearby photo, it became clear the name we need is Daisy Anya Parker.
- Type “Daisy Anya Parker” into the machine to get the eighth tile.
- Go to the gift terminal in the Toy Factory.
- Use your scissors to cut the name out of the letter you just typed.
- Put the bunny in a box, attach the name tag using the combine command, and pull the lever.
How to Save Santa from the Freezer

Once you have sent the gift, you will get the final ninth tile from the terminal. Now it is time for the grand finale. Head to the locked door next to the typing machine in Santa’s room.
- Insert all nine tiles into the lock.
- You need to enter a specific code: 81521382.
- I figured out the symbols correspond to numbers like this: Red toy is 8, Gift box is 1, Xmas tree is 5, Candy cane is 2, and the Deer is 3.
Entering that code frees Santa and saves Christmas.
Finding Lucy and the Puppy Rescue Mission
If you want an extra 50 gold coins, you should definitely do the optional Lucy’s Missing quest. This part takes place in a garage and backyard.
- Enter the garage with the code 3-1-6-4.
- Collect the wrench from the floor, the hammer from the shelf, and the knife from the ladder.
- Put the tools back on the wall silhouettes to reveal the code 9-1-3-8 for the tool drawer.
- Use the wet napkin from the table to clean the dirty spot, which reveals a car image.
- Rearrange the car collection on the wall to match the color pattern on the poster to get an emergency key.
The medical part is where most people get stuck. You have to be logical about it.
- Dismantle the bandage box to get a band-aid.
- Combine the alcohol and gauze to make wet gauze.
- Clean the girl’s wound with the wet gauze first, then apply the band-aid.
This gets you a bolt for the gate lock. The gate lock is a pathfinding puzzle where you rotate six sections to make the grooves connect. Once you are in the backyard, use the code 4-9-1-0 from Lucy’s pendant to get the dog cookies. Finally, give Lucy a bowl of water because she is dehydrated, and then give her the cookies to finish the mission. If you liked this, you should try some great platform games, or the best games of the decade, you may have a lot of fun playing.
