Roblox Halloween Spotlight is underway and there are dozens of cool new items to obtain, and a bunch of them are free! However, you’ll need to finish specific quests and puzzles to obtain the free items, and we’ll help you with that. Roblox Halloween Spotlight Basics

Roblox Halloween Spotlight is a limited-time event, lasting from Thursday, October 23, to Monday, November 3. In the event, you collect Runes and Keys by completing quests throughout the different experiences, and then use those items to unlock areas, solve puzzles, and earn free Halloween-inspired items. Here are all the core mechanics in the Roblox Halloween Spotlight event:

Cursed Compass & How it Works

As soon as you jump into the Roblox Halloween Spotlight event hub, move along the beaten path and collect the Cursed Compass in front of the spawn (circular stone structure in the middle). The Compass will reveal all the HUD elements and point you in the direction of all the games/quests you still haven’t completed.

What are Runes & Keys & How to Get Them

Runes and Keys are the two items you’ll need to unlock the free items during the Halloween Spotlight Roblox event. Runes will unlock each of the puzzle areas, with each area containing 3 items. Keys are required to unlock the last item within each area.

How to Unlock Areas & Find Items

You can unlock the areas from within the Codex by spending the required number of Runes. New areas becomes available every few days, and each costs more and more Runes to unlock. Once you’ve unlocked an area, explore it to find items to unlock.

All Items in Roblox Halloween Spotlight & How to Get Them

In the table below are all the free items you can unlock during the Roblox Halloween Spotlight event. We will update the list as new areas are unlocked and new items are introduced. Note that the first two items in each area are free, while the third one costs Keys to unlock. Cursed versions of items cost Robux and are unlockable from the Codes.

Vengeful Visage	• Go to the 1st unlocked area (costs 2 Runes), move through the fog, and enter the portal to the main area. • Make your way through the main area, and once you reach two glowing runes on the ground, click the one on the left to open the left path. • You’ll need to click 4 symbols in a specific sequence to open the door to the item. • There are stones around the area, each showing one symbol you’ll need to click in one of the four slots (Top, Right, Bottom, Left). • Click the symbols at the altar based on which symbols are glowing on the stones. • The sequence of symbols is Top → Right → Bottom → Left. Reviling Veil	• Inside the 1st unlocked area, go to the two glowing runes on the ground, and click the one on the right to open the right path. • Follow the item as it vanishes and reappears around the area. • Collect the item once it stops vanishing to unlock it.	Guise of Nightmare (75 Robux)
Spiny Marsupi-ghoul	• This item requires 2 Keys to unlock. • Inside the 1st unlocked area, go down the path behind the Vengeful Visage item. • Do the same you did for the Visage item, finding the 6 stones with symbols, and clicking them in a clockwise sequence. • Once you’ve completed the puzzle, collect the item by paying 2 Keys for it. Calamitous Candelabra	• Acquire all items from the 1st zone to be able to progress to the 2nd zone. • Go to the 2nd unlocked area (costs 3 Runes), move through the fog, and enter the portal to the main area. • After exiting the portal, follow the path to the left, moving across one bridge, until you reach a fork with a bridge on the left and a path to the right (there is a statue between them). • Go right and you’ll see a cloud of blue smoke on a ledge. Follow the smoke, and it will reveal a hidden path across the ravine. • Keep following the fog and make your way across the invisible platforms until you reach a fork in the foggy path. • Turn right and keep following the foggy path to find the Calamitous Candelabra. Horns of the Mycomancer	• In the 2nd unlocked area, go to the fork in the foggy path, and turn left to reach land. • Follow the dirt road until you find a spooky doll on the ground. • Place the doll on the altar on the right, and then make your way towards the other two dolls in that area. Each dirt road leads to one doll. • Place the other two dolls, and once the door behind the altar is open, enter it and follow the path to find the Horns of the Mycomancer. Phantasmal Fox	• This item requires 3 Keys to unlock. • In the 2nd unlocked area, follow the path past the Horns of the Mycomancer, and you’ll see a place on the wall on the right where you can use your keys. • Go across another invisible bridge that’s covered by the fog to reach another altar, with four slots this time. • Collect the four dolls spread around the area and place them on the altar to unlock the Phantasmal Fox. • One doll has a jumpscare, two dolls have invisible platforms, and one doll has a jumping obby. Unearthly Lanterns	• Acquire all items from the 1st and 2nd zones to be able to progress to the 3rd zone. • Go to the 3rd unlocked area (costs 4 Runes), move through the fog, and enter the portal to the main area. • Make your way through the cave maze until you reach a fork, and then go left. • Follow the papers on the walls to find the way to the hidden room. • Enter the room and collect the Unearthly Lanterns. Thicketed Hair	• Make your way through the cave maze inside the 3rd area until you reach a fork, and then go right. Use updrafts to climb vertically / float across gaps. • Collect the Thicketed Hair at the end of the maze.	Bedeviled Hair (100 Robux)
The Watcher in Silence	• This item requires 4 Keys to unlock. • Unlock the path behind the Thicketed Hair using 4 Keys and continue down the path. • The path will alter multiple times, making it seem like you’re reaching only dead ends. • Continue going forward and then turning around until a monster spawns. • Follow the monster to find The Watcher in Silence. Use updrafts to navigate the cave. Step on the pressure plate to open the door to the item.	Strix Sylvarum (75 Robux)
Wealdroot Wings	• Acquire all items from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd zones to be able to progress to the 4th zone. • Go to the 4th unlocked area (costs 6 Runes), move through the fog, and enter the portal to the main area. • Follow the path and jump on the stones that have the same symbol as the stone just before that section. • Follow the footprints to the hidden cave, and memorize the symbol on the wall (you’ll need it to unlock the item). • Continue down the path and you’ll see a totem with 3 symbols sorted vertically (memorize them). Follow the path that is covered in the top symbol, then when you reach a fork, follow the middle symbol. • The 3rd fork in the maze will also have the symbol from the hidden cave you went to earlier. Follow that path to reach the Wealdroot Wings.	Runecarved Wings (150 Robux)
Spellbound Scythe	• Go back to the maze from the Wealdroot Wings’ location and follow the other path, which has the bottom symbol from the totem. • Continue until you reach the Spellbound Scythe.	Entrancing Scythe (150 Robux)
Crypt Croaker	• This item requires 5 Keys to unlock. • Go towards the door behind the Spellbound Scythe and use 5 Keys to open them. Continue down the road. • You’ll now encounter another totem with 3 symbols sorted vertically. Memorize them and do the same thing as for the Wealdroot Wings. • You’ll also have the stones you’ll need to jump on here, and the process is the same as with the ones you encountered at the start of the area. • Towards the end, a monster will spawn, which you’ll need to run away from. Turn around and start backtracking through the maze. • Continue jumping over the correct stones to reach the Crypt Croaker.	The Horror That Flops (80 Robux)
Spirited Broom	• Acquire all items from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th zones to be able to progress to the 5th zone. • Go to the 5th unlocked area (costs 7 Runes), move through the fog, and enter the portal to the main area. • Go down the path and you’ll see 2 glowing runes floating in the air. • In the jumping puzzle ahead, jump only on the stones with the same symbols as the stones that were floating in the air, and head into the cave on the right. • Turn right after exiting the cave and follow the maze between the trees. The path is predefined, and you will just be blocked by fog if you try to skip a part. • Once you’re done with the maze, turn right and go between the trees and the mountain to find a hidden path. • Go across the invisible bridge and turn right to see a cave blocked by trees and fog. Use the invisible foggy path to the left of the cave to climb over the barrier. • Enter the cave and you’ll see several runes on the wall. Remember them or take a picture of them. • Go back to the tree maze and continue down the path on the right until you fall through a stone. • Follow the path by jumping on the stones with the same symbols as the ones glowing in the cave to find the Spirited Broom. Corrupted Cauldron	• Go back from the cave where the Spirited Broom is and follow the stones that are glowing above the jumping puzzle to reach the Corrupted Cauldron.	Infested Cauldron (150 Robux)
Slithering Sentinel	• This item requires 6 Keys to unlock. • Go past the Corrupted Cauldron and use 6 Keys to unlock the hidden path. • You’ll find an altar with multiple paths leading from it and 4 spooky dolls you’ll need to collect. • Go down each path and collect the spoooky dolls. The puzzles are the same as in different areas. • Place the dolls at the altar and input the following combination: Down, Right, Up, Down on the puzzle in the middle to unlock the Slithering Sentinel.
