Will Gotham Knights Get a Performance Patch? Answered

Looking to play Gotham Knights at 60 FPS on consoles? Don't get your hopes up.

Gotham Knights, which finally saw a release recently, has received major criticism for its performance. The game is currently locked at 30 FPS on consoles, and there is no “performance mode” option within the game. Could that change anytime soon? Here’s what we know about whether Gotham Knights will have a performance mode.

Is Gotham Knights Getting a Performance Patch?

While nothing is confirmed, it appears that a performance mode in Gotham Knights doesn’t seem to be in the cards right now. When executive producer Fleur Marty announced that the game would only run at 30 FPS on consoles, she also noted that getting to a higher FPS would not be as straightforward as simply lowering the resolution to reach 60 FPS. Thus, console players who hope to play at 60 FPS probably shouldn’t get their hopes up right now.

Currently, the only way to play Gotham Knights at 60 FPS would be to play it on a PC. This version doesn’t have any restraints so far as frame rate is concerned, thus making it the only way to experience Gotham Knights with a better frame rate. Even then, the PC version has some massive system requirements and rough optimization, so hitting a smooth 60 FPS could be difficult. Here’s hoping some performance fixes could come sooner rather than later.

That’s all we’ve got on whether Gotham Knights will have a performance mode. If you’re looking to get into Gotham Knights and want to know how long the game will take, Twinfinite has you covered.
